Andrew  Kilgore owner and pilot of Bigfoot Helicopters has been flying  helicopters and turbine fixed wing aircraft since 2009.

 

For the past 10  years Andrew was flying crop dusters before starting Bigfoot Helicopters. Prior to his flying career Andrew served in the Airforce  for six years as an aircraft mechanic.

 

Andrew is eastern Oregon born and  raised and just can't seem to want to live anywhere else.

Prices are per person.

Who is this tour for? Anyone who is under 260#s. Scales will be used before each flight for weight and balance purposes. Each flight will not carry more than 3 people and each party may not exceed a combined weight of 550#. Weight and balance is important for proper and safe flight in all aircraft and required by FAA regulations for proper performance and safety of the aircraft. If any group is over weight limits additional charges maybe applied and or groups may not be able to fly together.

Children under the age of 16 must fly with a parent or guardian.

Reservations are preferred but walk-ins are welcome.

Two or more people are required for each flight. If you are riding alone we will try to match you up with another rider. If you desire to pay for two seats you may.

Passengers must be able to egress and degrees under their own power. Emergency situations may require each passenger to exit the helicopter unassisted.

Passengers are required to be at the airport 25 min before flight time.

Passengers who arrive Intoxicated or who are clearly under the influence of drugs will not be allowed to fly. If you are denied a flight your reservation will not be refunded.

Bigfoot Helicopters reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who is causing any safety related issues concerning helicopter operations and or rudeness or belligerence will not be accepted.

If behavior of passengers  interferes with the pilots duties an emergency landing may be required and the authorities and the FAA will be notified.

Passengers must be able to understand verbal commands from pilot and ground crew. This is a safety related concern.

Passengers must be well mannered and are required to follow all orders by pilot and ground crew. Non compliant or erratic behavior from any passengers will not be allowed to fly and or the flight will be terminated early without refunds.

What should I wear on the flight? Earrings should not be worn as they interfere with aviation headsets and may damage them. Open toed shoes are not allowed and sneakers should be worn. Bright clothing, especially white may interfere with pictures from the reflection of the glass.

Can pregnant women fly? You should consult with your doctor. But we prefer no one be allowed to fly after 7 months of pregnancy. But if you are comfortable in the seat and there is no interference with the seat belt we can determine each case individually.

No children are allowed to sit on parents lap and each person must have own seat

Do I tip the pilot? It is not required but you may if you desire.

If a flight has to be canceled due to unsafe weather conditions you will receive a full refund. The same goes for any unexpected maintenance issues requiring cancellation.

If you are prone to motion sickness we suggest that you do not fly. If a passenger vomits or there are any other bodily fluids in the aircraft there will be a $150 cleaning fee.

We are located at the Joseph State Airport. Look for our signs for parking.

Directions: Turn west off of Main Street in Joseph on to W Wallowa Ave, travel approximately 1 mile, and turn into the airport. Look for our sign. Please do not enter the airport without Bigfoot Helicopters assistance.

All passengers must be at least 4 feet tall. Passengers over 6'3" may not be comfortable in the helicopter.
